02 / Her story
Stacy, in her own light
Noted by the house
- 176 cm, slim
- Long near-black brown hair, brown eyes
- Street photography
- Snowboarding and stand-up comedy
- Bold and spontaneous, English speaking
People notice Stacy's height before anything else, all 176 cm of it, then the long near-black brown hair falling past her shoulders, then the grin that says she has already spotted the funniest thing in the room and is deciding whether to share it.
The rest arrives in quick succession: a slim frame, brown eyes that flash when she laughs, and the bold, sultry confidence of 22. Spontaneous to the core, she has a talent for turning an ordinary evening into a story you will be retelling for weeks. She has never once arrived at an evening with a fixed plan, and has rarely needed one. Her style is edgy metallic nightlife glam, rhinestones and turquoise shimmer, white lace against dark gloss, a look built for the flash of a camera at midnight.
Street photography is her obsession. She walks the old district after dark with a camera slung over one shoulder, catching neon smeared across wet cobblestones, reflections trembling in the Oudezijds Achterburgwal and strangers laughing beneath a streetlamp on the Nieuwmarkt. Stand-up comedy is her other love; she knows the late shows around Leidseplein, has strong views on timing and delivers her own one-liners with a perfectly straight face. In winter she vanishes to the mountains to snowboard, and she describes her worst wipeout with an alarming amount of pride.
None of this makes her loud. Stacy reads a room fast and knows when to turn the volume down, which is exactly what makes the moments she turns it up so memorable. Give her a rainy night, a bridge over the Oudezijds and ten minutes to find the right angle, and she will hand you back a photograph of a city you did not know existed.
Her home turf is De Pijp, a quarter that suits her restless energy, and she crosses town without fuss. Tiffany photographs the same streets with a gentler eye, and comedy fan Violetta might just match her punchline for punchline.
